Youth leadership
Helping Youth Help Themselves and Others.
Young people are learning how to handle pressure, failure, relationships, confidence, and the influence they have on others long before anyone gives them a leadership title. YouthMAX gives them practical ideas and tools to help them make stronger choices and positively influence the people around them.
For schools, athletic teams, youth organizations, student leadership groups, and community programs.

What YouthMAX Is
YouthMAX is a youth leadership curriculum developed by the John Maxwell Team. It gives young people practical tools to explore how they value themselves and others, make positive choices, grow in character, understand their influence, and develop a stronger sense of purpose.
YouthMAX is facilitated by certified Maxwell Leadership team members. Through 3C’s Leadership Solutions, Founder Michael Kennedy, a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team member, brings the curriculum to schools and athletic teams, as well as youth organizations, student leadership groups, and community programs.

Growing Up Comes With Some Pretty Big Decisions.
YouthMAX gives young people a practical way to talk about those moments before they are standing in the middle of one.
Core YouthMAX curriculum
Four Lessons. Plenty to Talk About.
01
Stand Up and Be Counted
Use your influence to lift people up.
Young people explore a positive response to bullying through three simple ideas: Stand Up by recognizing their own value, Lift Up by using their influence to help others, and Pick Up by supporting people who are being bullied.
02
Learning to Fail Forward to Success
Learn from failure instead of being defined by it.
Failure happens. YouthMAX helps young people look at it differently, learn from what happened, make adjustments, and keep moving toward success.
03
Developing Strong Personal Character
Make choices that match the person you want to become.
Character shows up in everyday decisions. This lesson challenges young people to think about their values, their actions, and the choices they make when nobody is making the decision for them.
04
Developing a Positive Self-Image
Know your value and build confidence from there.
Young people explore what makes them unique, recognize the value they bring to others, and identify habits that can help them develop greater personal confidence.
Leadership Starts Before the Title.
Confidence
Know your value and become more comfortable stepping up.
Character
Understand how everyday decisions shape who others experience you to be.
Resilience
Learn, adjust, and continue moving after things do not go as planned.
Influence
Recognize that leadership includes how you treat, support, and affect other people.
